We are a Non-profit business. This means money that comes in from grants, and loan interest payments help us with staff payments and covering other company expenses. The money remaining is put back into the business in the form of support for new or expanding clients

Mission statement

To provide a systemic change solution to end financial discrimination against individuals operating or wishing to create small businesses which will reduce unemployment, expand commercial growth and reduce extreme poverty for both individuals and urban and rural communities.

Objectives of Our Project

  1. To reduce poverty in Ugandan communities by offering small group loans to micro-entrepreneurs who cannot get loans from any existing financial institutions because they cannot prove success over an extended period and/or because they do not have collateral.
  2. To expand the target audience’s skill in business management and increase their application of ethical principles in their work. Improved business management skills will enhance professionalism among micro-entrepreneurs and their opportunity for financial success in their day-to-day activities. For example, the target audience will learn how to respect agreements, manage their time and their finances, keep records, and expanding their connection with their business partners.
  3. To expand the economic vitality of Mbarara City and other neighboring areas by designing, testing and applying structured methods of providing loans for micro-entrepreneurs using a tested model which may eventually be applied throughout Uganda.
  4. To protect members of the community from getting loans from illegal money lenders who intend to trap them in cycles of debts, which will have long term negative effects on individuals, families and the community.
